A Wise Man Once Said . . .

What is Your Life?

James 4:14 - "You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes."

For some reason - that verse has been running through my head a lot today. It's always been a favorite of mine just for the sobering reminder that 1) we do not know what's going to happen next in our life and 2) our time here is so brief.
It's so easy to get stuck in that rut where you are rushing to work, to home, here, there, etc. Hours turn to days, days turn to weeks, weeks turn to months and months turn to years. You turn around and half of your life has passed. It was yesterday we were bringing Abby home from the hospital. Now she's 7 and Brandon's almost 5. We must value every hour of every day like it is our last - because we never know when it could be . . .

Who are the 14% and what are they smoking?

According to a new CNN poll - 86% of Americans believe that the government is broken. Not much surprising there. My question is - where is the head of the 14% that believe government isn't broken??? Are there really that many people out there that believe the government is functioning as it should?

Starting Over

I've decided to start over with this blog. I had a blog of the same name a year or so ago but at the time - I just didn't have the time to maintain and post. A few months ago - I deleted it. Now I've decided to start over . . .
